June 15 Challenge: Listen to music in another language or from a different country.  Some suggestions can be found here (Scroll down to WORLD)

  2. Practice your Recorder (Remember, this activity is for the whole month of June.  You may not have your Recorder at home yet.  A pick-up will be arranged sometime in June.  In the meantime, complete the Listening Quests.  You could even start the Recorder videos and clap along to the Rhythm).

Try listening to a new playlist: https://www.cbc.ca/listen/cbc-music-playlists . Does this type of music inspire you to: clean the house? Cook a meal? Sit and read? Get up and dance? Play along with an instrument?  Tell us what playlist you chose and show us what it inspired you to do.  Send your photos to Ms. Knuttila, JKnuttila@sd35.bc.ca.  Submissions will be featured in next week’s Virtual Music Learning document.

 June 1-7 is Seniors Week.  Video call a grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend, or special senior in your life.  Cheer them up, sing them a song, or ask them about life when they were a kid.  Send your photos to Ms. KnuttilaJKnuttila@sd35.bc.ca.  Submissions will be featured in next week’s Virtual Music Learning document.

May 25 Challenge: Go on a sound scavenger hunt.  Find objects around your house or in nature that make sounds.  Take a picture of your favourite sound.  For example, I like hearing the ducks by my pond; so, I would take a picture of a duck.
