Multicultural Day
Last Friday was Multicultural Day, and what a day it was! We learned so much about many of the cultures that are woven into the fabric of our learning community here at Richard Bulpitt Elementary. Students tasted food, tried games, made art, and learned culture and history from our teams of fantastic volunteer family members, staff, and even other students. Thank you all for your hard work to help us learn, and thank you for sharing such meaningful artifacts and knowledge with us.
Congratulations to all the outstanding performers of the Korean Fan Dance, Korean drumming, Tae Kwon Do, and the Telgu movie dance! You all did an amazing job! Special thanks to Julie Kim who taught the Korean dance to a team of students from all different cultures, and to Harshad’s parents for helping him master his complicated solo performance (in grade 2, no less!).
Report Cards are Coming Soon!

PAC Update

THANK YOU! Pink Shirt Day
Thanks to your generosity we are proud to say we raised $398 and sold out in 20 minutes. We are very sorry to those that didn’t get a chance to purchase. Next time we’ll have more. All proceeds went to the CKNW Kid’s Fund, which supports children’s healthy self-esteem by teaching empathy, compassion, and kindness.
Spring Fling Meeting – Monday, February 27
Join the Spring Fling committee and have your say on February 27 at 4:30pm. We will meet in person at the front doors of the schools. We will take a walk around the school, look at the activities/vendors/etc. and try to figure out the best placement for everything. We need to spread things out, find more space for line-ups, and make doubles of things like ticket booths.
Kiddos welcome!

Quote(s) of the week

Something to Read or Watch…
- Do you ever wonder how you can help your child better understand math? Do you want to know what some of these ‘new’ strategies we are teaching to your kids really mean? Check out this Padlet resource of all things math for parents. It’s a lot, so poke around when you have a bit of time. It’s well worth it.
- After the weekend’s (accurate) weather forecast, this might be a bit unfair, but I still laughed, so I thought I’d share.
